These terms govern your use of Acetate at acetate.me and its related services. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Acetate helps extract and organize transactions from financial statements and provides automated classifications. Features may change as the app develops. Acetate is not a bank, payment service, or financial adviser, and does not move money on your behalf.
Your account and responsibilities
You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. Protect your sign-in credentials and use only your own account or an account you are authorized to use. You are responsible for your use of the service and for ensuring that you have permission to upload and process any documents or information you submit.
Acceptable use
Do not use Acetate unlawfully, upload malicious content, interfere with the service, bypass access controls, attempt to access another person’s information, or submit material that violates another person’s rights.
Your content
You retain your rights in the documents and information you submit. You authorize Acetate and its service providers to store and process that content as needed to provide the requested service. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to Acetate.
Automated results
Extraction and AI-generated classifications may be incomplete or incorrect. Review results against your original documents before relying on them. Acetate does not provide investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and its outputs should not replace professional advice.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled, including service providers, browser storage, and requests concerning personal information.
Availability and changes
The service may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that any output will be error-free. Keep your own copies of original documents and any results you need. Any future paid offering will disclose its prices and payment terms before purchase.
Suspension and stopping use
You may stop using Acetate at any time. We may restrict access where necessary to address misuse, security risks, or legal requirements. Stopping use or signing out does not automatically delete backend information; see the Privacy Policy for details.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Acetate is provided as available, without guarantees about suitability for a particular purpose or the accuracy of automated results. Acetate is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on unverified results or use contrary to these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
Updated terms will appear on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law. Your mandatory rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
