Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Acetate helps you organize financial statements and classify transactions. This policy explains how Acetate handles information when you use acetate.me and its related services.
Information we handle
- Account information: when you sign in with Google through Supabase, we receive an account identifier and basic profile information, such as your name, email address, and profile image when available. Acetate does not receive your Google password.
- Information you submit: statements, filenames, transaction details, and other information contained in uploaded files, along with processing outputs and classifications.
- Technical information: service providers may process IP addresses, request information, errors, and operational logs to deliver and maintain the service.
How information is used
We use this information to sign you in, associate processing jobs with your account, extract and classify transactions, display results, troubleshoot failures, and protect the service. Google sign-in is used for account access; it does not give Acetate access to your Gmail inbox or Google Drive files.
Service providers and sharing
Acetate uses Google and Supabase for sign-in and infrastructure. Statement processing uses services including Google Cloud, TypeSafe, and OpenRouter and the AI model providers selected through it. Uploaded content or extracted transaction information may be sent to these providers as needed to process your request. When diagnostic tracing is enabled, processing information may also be sent to LangSmith. These providers have their own privacy terms and may process information in countries other than your own.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. Upload only information you are authorized to share, and remove unnecessary personal details before uploading.
Browser storage and retention
The app uses browser storage to retain your sign-in session, processing history, and results. Clearing site data removes these browser copies and can sign you out; it does not delete backend records. Uploaded files, job records, results, and operational records may remain with backend services and providers. Acetate does not currently offer a fixed automatic deletion schedule or a self-service account deletion control.
Your choices and rights
You may sign out and clear stored browser data at any time. Depending on applicable law, including Brazil’s LGPD where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, information about sharing, or other rights concerning your personal information. Requests may require identity verification, and some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations. Contact Acetate using the contact details below.
Security
Acetate uses authentication and access controls to limit access to account-related processing. No online service can guarantee complete security. Avoid uploading information that is unnecessary for the service.
Children
Acetate is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The updated version and its date will appear on this page. Where applicable law requires notice or consent, those requirements apply.
