Hello, I’m Gabriel.

I’m Gabriel Welzel, a software engineer based in Brazil and the creator of Acetate. I’ve spent more than eight years building software for US companies.

My work spans banking products at Greenlight, AI product interfaces at Savvi AI, and reporting tools at Metadata. At Sovra, I helped resolve hundreds of accessibility issues so more people could use the product.

I’m building Acetate end to end, from the system that reads and categorizes statements to the interface where you explore your money. That connects the work I know best: making complex data understandable and software easier to use.
